I called CCS for a Master Closet quote. When they arrived, they ignored the quotes from the two competitors on the table and focused on me. After I told them I wanted a Master Closet, they asked my priorities between appearance capacity, and price.

> Of course I wanted it to look nice, but it needed to hold all our stuff and most importantly it needed to be in our price range, so capacity and price were my most important needs.

> Did I have a preference between real wood and laminate? I thought real wood at first, then we walked through the house where all the built-ins were laminate so I went that way, then I was horrified.

> Two others had seen my closet while I stood back. Al wanted me in the closet with him. Before that, I didn’t realize how much stuff had found its way into the closet, but Al said he’d seen it all before and set to the task of figuring out how many shelves and drawers I would need. Then Al said he could include a shelf at 7’ that would encircle the whole closet to hold the things I rarely needed to access, like my travel bags. Something that stuck in my mind was that he took measurements at three (3) points on each wall, so he could compensate for crooked walls.

> The following week, we met again to review the two alternate design plans as well as my color preferences and my needs for jewelry, belts and the like. When all was done, he was still well below our budget, so he asked me about other needs I had, like storage of bulk items, linens and holiday kitchen needs that seemed to be placed here and there around the house.

> The next day, he came back with the final quote for both the Master Closet and the Hall Closet. It was still within our budget. That was four weeks ago. Yesterday, they installed everything, vacuumed where they worked and asked me to check everything out. It was so perfect, I shooed them out so I could start using my new closets.

> Thanks guys. Your designs worked better than I could have hoped, and all my friends know it.

We had just finished lunch when Al and Tricia arrived to meet with us about a new Master Closet. After we took a hard look at our closet, Al focused on the clutter around our kitchen and the clothes piled by our stairs up, then he asked about our priorities between a master closet, more kitchen storage, and our daughter’s closet. Clearly those were needed, but I really wanted a new closet so I listed that first.

> Two days later, they returned with two quotes. The first was for our closet. The second was for our closet, new shelving in our Foyer closet, a new kitchen island, and a proposed closet for our daughter. By focusing our decisions on Price, we could everything for only $2,000 more than our budget. We chose everything except my daughter’s closet. I get mine first.

> Thanks guys. I’ll call back when my daughter’s earned half the cost of her closet, until then, she can wait.

When the floor in my Home Office became so littered I couldn’t walk in without a fear of tripping, my girlfriend showed me an ad for CCS. I thought it would be a waste of my time, but I called.

> They installed custom-planned steel shelving in my office closet and even included space for my printer and my shredder. They also put steel shelving in our garage. Everything’s still on the floor, but in a month or so, we hope to put a car (her’s) in there. Until then, I’m enjoying my new trip-free office floor.
